How do I rent storage space as a business?
As a business owner, you can rent storage space with by:

What documents will be required to rent a self storage unit as a business?
You will be required to provide a form of photo identification such as a drivers license or passport, proof off address and a copy of your contents insurance, if you are not taking insurance with Corby Self Storage.

How do I know what size storage unit to rent?

Access and Security for all the storage units

Can I give suppliers access to my storage unit?
You can choose who has access to your storage unit at Corby Self Storage. You can give your supplier access to your unit so that you don’t have to be present every time your supplier delivers. 
Each individual that you allow access to, will receive their own personal access code, this way, we will always know who accessed your storage unit and when. 
You will be able to request access to an overview of this information. 

I need to know who accessed my storage unit and when, is this possible?
You can request an overview of names and times of anyone who has accessed your storage unit. 

Can I give employees access to my storage unit/units?
You can give access to your employees. 
Each individual that you allow access to will receive their own personal access code, this way, we will always know who accessed your storage unit and when. 
 
What should I do if I have lost the key to my storage unit?
If you lose your storage unit key, you should report it to our team. We do not keep a copy of your key, so in this instance, we can have your unit opened by a locksmith. You will be responsible for the cost. 

What should I do if I lose my personal access code?
If you have forgotten your personal access code to enter the site, you can request a new one for free from a member of our team. 
In line with security protocol, we can only give new codes to the individual who signed the rental contract. You will need to present valid ID in order to be given new codes. 

Moving your belongings and transport

How should I transport my belongings to the Corby Self Storage facility?
There is easy access our sites by van or small lorry. You can drive your vehicle right up to the door of your storage facility and unload directly into the unit at no extra cost.
 
How can I protect my property during transportation?
You should take care to correctly pack your belongings. The right packing materials and moving boxes are essential when transporting your goods. 
 
What is the easiest way of moving my belongings through the Corby Self Storage facilities?
You will be able to drive right up to your storage unit to unload your belongings. There are trolleys available at our locations to help you unload and load your vehicle. There are some useful tips HERE
 
Contract and Payment

What is the minimum rental period at Corby Self Storage?
There is no minimum rental period, you are free to rent your storage unit for as shorter a period as you require. There is no notice period, so just make sure that you inform the member of staff of your planned moving out date when you sign your contract. 
As soon as you complete your contract, you can begin moving your belongings into your store. 

What is the notice period of my rental agreement?
It is a very flexible rental agreement, you do not need to pay for a minimum contract even for long term storage unit sizes.

How do I cancel my self storage agreement?
You must give notice in writing, you can do this via email, post or at your Corby Self Storage facility. When you give notice, you should include your name, room number and the date of cancellation. 

How will you invoice me?
Payments can be made monthly through direct debit.

Do I have to pay a deposit when entering a rental contract as a business?
No, customers do not pay a deposit when renting a storage unit with Corby Self Storage. 
 
Do I pay VAT on a business storage unit?
Yes, the storage prices displayed on our site are exclusive of VAT, you can see your total monthly price inclusive of VAT before you confirm your booking.
